I don't have the proxy configured in the PluginManager dialog, but it uses the configured 'InstantProxy' when connected to the VPN, and doesn't release it when it is not connected - even after reboots. With the Plugin Manager the problems swapped. I hand code an http_proxy environment variable to switch between the VPN proxy when the VPN is enabled and no proxy when the VPN is disabled. It works with Internet Explorer, however, I have had problems with other applications not being able to use the VPN proxy when the VPN is enabled. The OS 'Internet Settings' is not configurable - it is set by our IT department with an 'InstantProxy' configuration file that loads and unloads the VPN proxy. Updates can be ignored, and the user will not be alerted to that update again.It works when I am connected to my VPN, but the proxy variable in the Plugin Manager is blank.Proxies are supported, just change the setting.Plugin Manager is able to update itself, and will notify the user when an update is available.
